This was the embryo of what would later become Punk fashion, as well as a good portion of post modern fashion as we know it!

REALM jewelry, Designs by Jesse Walker

My designs for REALM jewelry mix semi precious stones and other traditional jewelry materials, with unexpected and often industrial elements, like ball chain, dog tags, and kilt pins.
I'm interested in the way that combining and contrasting two very different, and unlikely materials, allows you to see each of those materials in a new light. I feel that unquestionably beautiful things, like pearls or gems, are so often displayed in predictable ways, that eventually we don't really LOOK at them anymore. With my designs, I hope to jar people into re- examining things that have been hidden in plain sight.
Inspired by world travel, fashion, and urban life, I try to create jewelry that is bold and statement making, yet still casual and unpretentious.

I believe that when you dress and adorn yourself, you create your own world, a world you carry with you wherever you go - Your very own REALM
