style	Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Liam Fahy attended the Harare International School before leaving to study a BA hons Footwear design at De Montford University. Elected president of his high school, and being awarded a presidential award for academic excellence signed by Pres G. Bush, (is that a good thing?) Liam also managed to have his artistic creations displayed at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. He is said to be ‘An inspiring individual whose style tailors and exemplifies the zenith of conceptual footwear’. This designers approach unites psychology, physics and personalised theories of design to craft truly unique, unconventional footwear concepts. Liam never conforms to traditional styles of designing or finding inspiration to concoct and fabricate his designs. From footwear concepts made from single pieces of material that fold inside out to be worn on either foot; to 4 part shoes that can be self assembled and require no industrial manufacture, to no stitching, no lasting and even shoes in colour ratios that are researched to psychologically illicit a buying response. In addition to gaining experience with United Nude and Terra Plana, Liam recently won the Italian Linea Pelle Footwear Award,the Drapers Footwear Designer of the Year Award and a UK Urban Fashion award. At present Liam advises and designs for numerous leading international brands.
