style	I have no particular style, I move with how I feel on any given day. As I get older I understand what works for me and what doesn't and filter trends accordingly.

favourite fashion moment	When I decided to carry a handbag to school instead of a traditional school bag, when I was 5 years old. It was the beginning of something special.

favorite designers / brands	Preen, Balenciaga, Hussein Chalayan, Boudicca, Karen Walker, Jean Pierre Branganza, Future Classics, Malo, Lanvin, Emilio de la Morena, Txell Miras, Rodarte, Inbar Spector

music	As a DJ I play Chicago house by way of a bit of Detroit techno and seeing Red Planet and Underground Resistance play at Club 69 in Paisley was a defining musical moment for me. I knew right then I had to DJ. I love the likes of Switch, Chris Duckenfield, Adam Beyer, Herve, Carl Cox, Justin Long, Green Velvet, Terry Francis, Meat Katie, Gayle San, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Claude Von Stroke. I also love punk/new wave and early indie stuff, so listen to lots of Dead Kennedy's, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, The Cramps, Big Black, Green River amongst others.

films	60's films mainly so of course anything with Audrey Hepburn and also Marilyn Monroe. I also love horror films, although not too gory! I particularly enjoy Japanese/Korean/Chinese horrors.

literature	As I'm interested in the darker side of human nature I like to read about true crime. I'm particularly interested in Glasgow gangs and organised crime, as it's taking place all around me.

art	Bizarrely as a designer I actually have little interest in art per se, but I love looking at other designers' work and feel motivated and inspired when I do.

sports	I've heard of sport...is that like exercise?

Fashion/Design/Music - My Three Favourite Things

Style has been part of my life, all my life. I always knew I wanted to be a designer, to make the world a more beautiful place by way of presenting information which is visually stimulating.

In my role as graphic designer, when not working for blue chip corporate clients, I design posters and fliers for clubs and covers for record labels. This fulfills my creative needs whilst the blue chip clients fulfills my bank balance! Print design is my passion even after 13 years of doing it. I have given seminars on design for music for Soma Records.

Fashion stimulates me in the same way design does, even though sometimes I find beautiful in the ugly. My friend Marie and I write our blog Kingdom of Style for the love of talking about fashion and style.

I contribute to style site Fashion156 and also Vice Magazine

In terms of my DJing, I've had the pleasure of playing two of the biggest nights in Glasgow, if not Scotland - Pressure and Subculture, two of my musical highlights, and have warmed up for such legends as DJ Heather and Lottie (I suspect they won't remember me of course!). I thank my late father for my ability to keep beats, as he was a drummer in a band and I was constantly watching him play when I was a child.

Whilst I have no intention of ever DJing full time, I can't ever imagine a time when I won't enjoy playing records and making people dance, it's the best feeling ever.
